TXU set to Launch Prepaid Plans

I have been looking around the web for a great ideas about the energy market and to my supprize I could not find that many. The biggest thing going on right now in the energy world is the prepaid plans.

TXU has or will be launching its prepaid energy plans. The company’s module for the consumers is easy to understand pricing which makes perfects sense because deregulation is so confusing.

Once minute you think you understand why your bill is so high but then it gets even higher. I have heard horrer stories about energy companies running up charges on customers because they sign up with a variable rate plan.

TXU Electricity does not sell variable rate plans. The only type of plan they offer is fixed or now prepaid. Prepaid electricity service in Texas is only possible if you have a smart meter installed on your home. The smart meter allows the energy company to get real-time data to charge you for your usage.

This may sound like a great deal and it might be for you. Prepaid plans are also called no-deposit plans. Prepaid sound better than no-deposit because usually if you are seeking a no-deposit plan it is because your credit is bad.

TXU releasing the prepaid plans means more companies will follow. TXU is the leader in Texas when it comes to energy.
